Holy crap. In one month I will be officially living in…wait for it…DISNEY WORLD!!! And to make it even better, tomorrow is my last day of classes until January 6th. Praise the Lord! Recently, my life has been extremely boring-just class twice a week and work 3 days a week. However, in the last week things have picked up just a little bit. I got my Halloween costume in for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and my New Hire Documents were emailed to me. I have to admit, the paperwork is a bit daunting, but thank goodness I had my dad to help me through it, since I honestly don’t know what half of it says (Legal jargon…) For those of you who have no clue what the New Hire paperwork is-its basically a whole bunch of online forms to fill out that have information about costuming rules, W4 forms, I9 documents, etc. You usually get the paperwork email about 3-4 weeks before your arrival and you have to have it complete before you can check in.
I’ve been watching a lot of Vlogs (video blogs) from former CPs (Future CPs check out Kelsey WDWCP and Kelsiedoingdisney on Youtube) to try to get an idea of everything that I’m going to be experiencing, but honestly its only making me way more impatient and anxious about getting to Orlando. My roommates and I have created a Google Doc that we can edit and include everything we are bringing for our apartment so none of us bring more than we need.
Other than that, I have put in my last day for work (Aug. 19th) which leaves me just about 10 days to pack and say goodbyes to friends and family…its kind of crazy to think that in one month I’ll be starting this adventure. I’m so excited and blessed to be able to experience this program.
To those who are thinking about applying for the Spring or Spring Advantage program like the Facebook page Disney College Program and it will update yall on when the applications come out 🙂Â
